Hey guys! So, I've been looking online for more clothes recently as I'm a girl and forever in need of more clothing. Then I came across the most awesome shirt I have ever seen. My friend in America posted a picture of her new flip T-shirt (apparently this is a new craze) and I had to ask where she got it from. Turns out Amazon sells some awesome things, so I had a quick glance and there it was. The shirt.

Lets be honest, how awesome is this shirt?! My mind was set and I bought it instantly, how could I not? Arrived the other day when I was at placement. Came home and my brother simply said 'there's some post for you', and there it was wrapped up waiting for my. Within minutes, I ran upstairs and changed my shirt simply to show it off.
Of course, I wore it to college the next day and pretty much flashed the sloth at my entire class. Laughs were had that day! Such an awesome shirt and Amazon have a whole range of flip T-Shirts I could so easily buy and recommend, but you'll have to check them out yourselves. If I go on there, I'll buy another one and there's only so far my wages will stretch!
Hey guys! For the latest edition to the film reviews, I'm going to be looking at the latest release The Call, starring Halle Berry.

This recent release looks at how 911 operators have to deal with some of the worst crimes and the impact it has on them as well as the victims. One operator, Jordan (Halle Berry) has to deal with a case which change her life and career completely. After connecting to an emergency call, she finds herself dealing with a terrified young girl who is trapped in her own house when someone is trying to break in. While on the phone to 911, the girl finds herself petrified and results in hiding in order to not be seen or found by the intruder. Just as they're about to leave, the phone gets disconnected and, in a frantic state, the operator calls back to check all is okay. However, this was a fatal error. After hearing the phone ring, the intruder returns upstairs and drags the girl out to her death with the operator with no one to blame but herself for making such an error.
Six months later, Jordan finds herself teaching those who want to do work in the 911 'hive' and has to teach them the ropes of the job. When passing one operator who is frantically trying to calm someone down, she finds herself taking over and trying to help the case. Little does she realise, she is about to have a flood of memories overwhelm her as she finds herself dealing with another terrified girl on the phone. Rather than a house call, this victim finds themselves locked in her kidnapper's car. Can she save her?

Now, I have never been so gripped throughout a film until I saw this.The Call has to be one of the best suspense builders and chilling thrillers of 2013. I had moments of fear, sadness and all round curiosity throughout. Would she save her? Would another girl die? If she did save her, how would she do it? This film really got me thinking though. How can people in this world be so messed up and damaged that they can go out and about and hurt of kill others? Watching the film really opened my mind up to how psychopaths and incredibly damaged people can so easily live a double life. So easy to hide from others, yet, be so destructive on themselves and their victims.

The majority of serial killers and psychopaths has something severely wrong with them. They had a damaged past, they saw or suffered something which has scarred them for life, some trauma they may have witnessed.. So many different things can cause a person to feel they have no way out but to ruin the lives of others instead and not always in the most pleasant ways. Take this film, for example. The psychopath in this film kidnaps his victims for a reason (I won't spoil it for you all!) and then kills his victims because of something in his past and can easily hide it from his wife. How can anyone do that? I know some people say, in anger of course (I hope), that they could easily kill someone. But, when it comes down to the reality, could you actually kill someone? Could you hide it and act completely normal? How people can do it, I'll never know.

After the past few months, this song basically sums up how I feel. For those who have ever been through a pretty rough break up, I'm sure you guys can relate to this song too. Aside the fact it's been one of my favourite songs for years, I find that, lately, I can really relate this to my own feelings.. Relationships aren't as easy and fairytale like as you want them to be. Not everyone gets the happy ending they want and that sucks, especially when you see people who have been in relationships for years and seem to have their own perfect fairytale love story. Not like that for everyone. Definitely not for me. Been in a few relationships over the years, all incredibly different but all end in the same aftermath. This song talks about the come downs after a relationship and the aftermath of it all. For some people, it's bitter and all that comes out of it is 'why did I waste my time with them'. however, for some people, it's more complicated and confusing. None of my breakups have ever been simple, not ever. The most recent one was probably one of the most painful though. But that's life. You can mope around over it and dig yourself a hole of depression, or you can get out there and make the best of your life and prove you're capable of better. It's just getting out of the hangover from being love drunk which is the worst...
Hey guys! Seeing as I've only posted one film review, I figured it was about time I posted another. For this review, I'll be talking about the new release that is Insidious 2. For all my UK readers, this was released Friday 13th September. For all you horror lovers who haven't already seen it, where have you been hiding?! As we're now coming into the horror season for film, we should be expecting to see a lot more of these films hitting our screens. This film failed to disappoint by far. Let's recap the first Insidious film released in 2010!
Basically, a family have to go searching for their son, Dalton, after he mysterious falls into a coma. Little do they know, he's lost in another world and unable to find his way back. After 3 months, ghosts start appearing around the house and all is not as it seems, with mysterious occurrences happening all round. From voices on the baby monitor to a bloody hand print on the bed sheets. After seeking out a medium who turns out helped the dad of the family in previous events, all becomes clear that Dalton is not alone in the other world which is causing him not to return. The family send the dad, Josh, into the further world to retrieve their son but doesn't come back alone as his past follows him... Now, to chapter 2! When the family notice the signs of others being in their home, suspicions arise once again. But what could be causing them? After the death of the medium they seeked in the first chapter, the family must attempt to solve their own problems. But the problem is much closer than they think. As shown at the end of the first chapter, Josh doesn't return from the further world alone. This chapter looks back to the roots of all of his problems. Like father like son, both have powerful entities which have haunted them from a young age. We go back to see the repression of Josh's memories and go forward to the present where he will have to face his fears again as he isn't himself. After finding Dalton in the other world, Josh did not return to the real world as he left. But when others try to help solve the issue, how will he react? What will they find that might explain the causes of these entities and the reasons behind their pain? This chapters answers so many questions from the first chapter, as well as providing a twist to the story obviously inspired by The Shining. We look back at the past to see the cause of all the problems as well as look into the reasons behind lots of chapter one. The disturbances, the trauma.. You also find out the stories behind the entities which haunt the family and see why they are haunted. The people before they died and the pain they had to suffer beforehand. So many unexplainable events become so clear and it definitely strengthens the story and plot by far! Definitely one hell of a horror, would definitely recommend all you horror fans go check it out!
Hey guys! For this music post, I'm going to be looking at the one and only, truly amazing.. Dave Grohl. This guy is a musical inspiration, as I'm sure most people would agree, and is by FAR one of the greatest all time musical inspirations!
Personally, I think this guy is truly amazing. I'm sure many of you will agree! For starters, he's made himself a great name in the music industry. Being a drummer for both Nirvana and Queens Of The Stone Age as well as the vocalist and guitarist for The Foo Fighters, a singer/song writer, and doing his part in other bands, this guy has definitely got around many bands! I think it's safe to say he is definitely an amazing all-rounder which music should be grateful to have.
I first heard of Dave Grohl through The Foo Fighters and I absolutely love them and their music. I was never aware that he was in Nirvana until it was pointed out to me when watching one of Nirvana's videos on Kerrang. He worked alongside Kurt Cobain, how awesome is that?! I recently saw his appearance in Queens Of The Stone Age when watching their video 'No one Knows', which you can watch here, also on Kerrang (what can I say, I really like Kerrang!). He has given himself one hell of a reputation from working with so many bands and putting himself out there.
This guy is definitely an inspiration to me. He's shown me that putting yourself out there can help you better yourself and get your name well known in many ways. He's known worldwide for his musical talents as well as for the music itself. I can imagine for quite a few people who are into their music, he would definitely be one hell of an inspiration! I mean this guy is talented, no doubt about that... So many people would kill to be that talented. I'm not musical and I would love to be as talented and as well known as him.
For those who have never listened to his music (if not, where have you been hiding?!), I would highly recommend Dave Grohl's music. His music is simply incredible. You'd be silly not to! So many songs I could recommend to you, but I shall leave it down to you to decide your ultimate favourites. Personally, my top 3 of his include:

It's hard to believe that their last album 'Sinners Never Sleep' came out 2 years ago, how time flies! I remember seeing them back in October 2011 at the Brixton Academy when they were singing their new songs from Sinners Never Sleep.. But these guys are back with a bang! I've literally been listening to this song over and over again because it is simply amazing. This song was released this week and has already reached the top 5 on the iTunes charts. Go and get your copy now, you'll only regret it if you don't!
Hey guys! As part of the music section of my blog, I thought I would do some reviews as such on bands and artists. Never know, I might help you find something new to listen to. Me being me, I do listen to a LOT of music so these posts will be varied in genre etc.

I haven't listened to these guys for long, but I think they're awesome. The first time I listened to their music was at Slam Dunk Festival back in May. They were the first act to perform on the main stage and their music was just so upbeat and catchy. I even found myself bobbing along to their music after a song or two. I also realised they follow me on twitter which is always a bonus from a band you like!
I've downloaded a few of their songs from iTunes recently and really started getting into their music. Their music has such a great vibe to it and you simply can't fault it.
The band members themselves are simply gorgeous and so talented! I absolutely love the lead singer's voice, I can't even describe it.. As for the rest of the band, they can just light up a stage. Watching them at Slam Dunk was just amazing, such an amazing band to open up on the main stage.
If I were to recommend a song or two by them, it would definitely have to be 'Chelsea' and 'Lightning In A Bottle'. I fell in love with these songs so easily and so quickly, they are on every single playlist I use at the moment. So catchy and you can't help but sing along to their music. Their new single 'Boomerang' is also worth a listen too!

good one. I’m going to start with my personal recommended song of the week, and
that song is Nickelback – If Today Were Your Last Day.

I loved this song from the moment it was released a few years
ago. I remember watching the video for it on Kerrang and just listened to it
endlessly for days. Such a good song! I recently bought their Dark Horse album
from HMV and fell in love with it all over again.
Listening to it really got me thinking though. If you had one
day left to live, what would you do? Patch things up with people? Do something
completely spontaneous and insane? Tick that last box off your bucket list you’ve
been dying to do for years but never had the guts or chance?
After having a long think about it, I realised I’d have so
much to do on my last day. Admittedly, there’s a few things I’d love to do but
if it was at the wrong time etc, I wouldn’t be able to do things. Like, I’d
love to go to Reading Festival. I could’ve gone this year if I wanted to! Had
the money, people to go with, enough bands I’d love to have seen… To be honest,
as long as a festival has any bands I like, I wouldn’t mind going. But Reading
is an iconic festival and definitely one hell of an experience to have! People
come from so many places just for Reading Festival. Their line ups are insane
each year and everyone who goes has such an amazing time. Definitely something
I’d look into doing, another thing on my bucket list!
However, if I couldn’t do that for my last day, there would
be a few other things I’d definitely make sure I did.
First, I would patch things up with people. There are a few
people whose paths I’ve crossed and obviously not done too well with them for
personal reasons. If I had one last day, I would make amends with certain
people and make my feelings well known to others who have been in my life for
some time, make them know just how much they mean to me. Family, friends.. Memories last a life
time and it’s so important to let those in your life know just how important
they are to you.
Secondly, I would either skydive, bungee jump or hopefully
both! A couple of items on my bucket list which I would never have the guts to
do unless I had a purpose or opportunity to do so, not really something you
could do every day unless you were completely
insane! I would just love the adrenaline rush of it and just a chance to do
something completely out of the ordinary and insane.
So that’s what I’d do: go to a festival (if I could), bungee
jump, skydive, patch things up with people and let those who are important know
just how important they are.
